Poplars Resort is a cozy lakeside retreat, located in Newboro, Ontario. For over ninety years, we have provided families with a home away from home in one of our comfortable cabins. If you are looking for a quiet spot for an “unplugged” vacation, the rustic ambiance of Poplars Resort is the place for you.
We are proud to offer a full-service vacation experience, including homemade meals and a community lodge. From check-in to check-out, our friendly customer service staff will treat you like family and make sure you are getting the most out of the Poplars experience. We also offer boat rentals and fishing licenses for our guests to explore Newboro Lake. Want to bring your own boat? Guests are welcome to bring their own fishing boat and make use of our complimentary docking and waterfront electricity!
Dave and Becky Thompson are the eighth owners in the history of Poplars Resort. Dave and Becky fell in love with Poplars while Becky's parents, Rick & Joan, ran it from 2004-2018. The charm, the history, and the wonderful people make Poplars Resort a special place for your vacation tradition. The original ambiance is still felt by guests who have returned repeatedly over the years, some bringing children and grandchildren to carry on the tradition of fishing on Newboro Lake.

Our community lodge is open 24 hours a day! All meals take place in the dining room. The lodge also features a porch with a pool table, living room with cable TV, and a games room for cards or board games.

Dinner: 5pm–6pm
