Becky White, Owner
Becky had the pleasure of working at Poplars at various times when her parents, Rick & Joan, were the owners, from 2004-2018. After graduate school, she spent a few years working for the Canadian Government in her hometown of Ottawa, but the call of the Poplars life grew stronger as the years passed, and she was able to find a life partner in Dave, who supported her to follow her dreams of entrepreneurship (and joined her for the journey!). Becky truly loves it at Poplars and can’t wait to continue making special memories with all of the Poplars’ guests for many, many years to come.
Dave Thompson, Owner
Growing up in a small family business, Dave swore he’d stick to a 9-5 office job. After trying that out, he swore again he’d never work a 9-5 office job. Once he started working at Poplars it was only a matter of time before he got hooked (pun intended) on fishing. Benefiting from the fish-wisdom of former owner and father-in-law Rick, he’s started to learn as much as he can about fishing and can often be found out on the lake after work.
