What does a day at Poplars Resort look like?

If you haven't stayed with us before, this should help you prepare for your unbeatable Canadian lakeside vacation!

When you arrive at Poplars Resort, find our friendly staff ready to welcome you in the parking lot. If you have heavy luggage with you, we are happy to bring it over to your room via tractor. You’ll then be shown our 24 hour community lodge, and brought to your room. After that, the day is yours! During your stay at Poplars, you are free to relax by the lake and live life at your own speed. If you are interested in exploring the surrounding area, you can rent one of our boats, or let us arrange an expedition with a local guide. You are free to bring your own boat as well and secure at our complimentary dock.

Many guests come to Poplars for the fantastic fishing experience on Newboro Lake. In addition to renting out boats, we also sell fishing licenses and a select amount of artificial bait. If you’re going out for the day, let us know the night before and we can get your lunch packed and ready-to-go. Dining Schedule

Meals are included at Poplars Resort, available in the lodge dining room.
Our daily schedule is as follows:

• Coffee: 5:30am-onward

• Breakfast: 7am-8:30am

• Lunch: 12pm-1pm

• Dinner: 5pm-6pm

Relax in the lounge, on the balcony, or on the lakeside and soak up the sun. Enjoy the scenery or chill out with a cold drink and a good book.

Spend the day on the lake and reel in the fun. We’re known for our spectacular fishing spots, with pike and bass commonly caught on-location during the open season.

Dine & unwind – at Poplars Resort, three delicious homemade meals are served in the dining room daily so you don’t have to worry about preparing meals.

Play a game of cards or break out the billiards in our community lodge. We also have a living room area with cable television for you to enjoy.
